Gilley, founder of Love Street Social Club, shopped the city's private clubs, found nothing that felt like her, and built a women's club of her own.

Narration. Gilley modeled from the age of seven, looked at the city's social clubs and country clubs, and decided to make her own. Love Street Social Club now runs Women in Business dinners, Country Club tennis socials, wellness events and seasonal nights around Los Angeles.

The story behind what she does

I started Love Street because I felt like Los Angeles was full of incredible women, but it could still be surprisingly difficult to actually meet each other and build real friendships.

I wanted to create the kind of social club I wished existed — beautiful, thoughtfully curated experiences where women could show up, meet new girlfriends, try something new and genuinely feel part of a community.

We started with events and have grown into everything from our all-girls Country Club tennis socials and Women in Business dinners to wellness experiences, nights out and larger cultural events around LA. I’m always searching for incredible venues and thinking about how to make each experience feel special and distinctly Los Angeles.

Ultimately, I’m building Love Street into a real-world social world for women — and we’re still just getting started.

Why she built her own

We were looking for social clubs, and I personally just couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for.

So eventually we were like, why don’t we just make our own?

The thesis

I literally just need to get all of these women in the same place at the same time and the magic will happen from there.

The demand

From day one, we were blown away by how much demand there was.

The rule

I don’t want Love Street to ever feel like the same event over and over again.

The choice

I wanted to build something instead of always being the person hired to be part of someone else’s vision.

The honest part

Love Street grew out of my hands much faster than I expected.

I’m figuring it out in real time, and I think there’s something really exciting about that.

The mission

I want to create a new kind of social club. Something that makes your world feel bigger.
